Taddy Porter is Andy Brewer, Doug Jones, Kevin Jones and Joe Selby. Four young men, southern by birth, with a habit of rocking outright. The brothers Jones command a rhythmic Abrahams, devastating all in its path, steady on its brooding course, leaving a wrecked wake where the war was waged. All the while, Brewer and Selby man the cannons hurling shell after screeching shell of audio assault. Brewer howls familiar with all the pains and medals that lie typically in the tones of men with triple his years. His words describe scenes you’ve known before in ways which still ring fresh. Selby invades every earhole in the room with a brute force and welcomed trauma that stays with a crowd well after he’s done with them. This is Taddy Porter. Bred out of Stillwater, holding you at gunpoint and commanding that you shake your ass. This quote sums up the essence that is Taddy Porter. Taddy Porter's in your face sound was first started when Andy Brewer and Doug Jones ran into each other in early 2007. Jones had been drumming in numerous bands and Brewer had a guitar in tow as the two met late one night. After jamming for several hours the two decided to start what would become the sound that has molded out of the foursome to date. The two met Joe Selby, a talented guitarist who's wailing leads ring in the ears of eager listeners. With three out of the four formed, the band turned to Doug's brother, Kevin to provide the bass grooves. Now that the band is in full swing they have been churning out tunes and chugging through Oklahoma and its surrounding states. Drawing influences from the likes of The Black Keys and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club the boys sound has come full circle in raw emotion and power.
