Hello and thank you for reviewing my new song “Shake N Rock." My name is Tom and friends have called me T.O. since I was a teenager. The creation of "Shake N Rock" involves Project Management, organic/original recordings, and the hybrid of musical genres. Growing up in Reston, VA, I always enjoyed the hybrid of Rock and Rap music from artists such as the Beastie Boys, RUN DMC, and Limp Bizkit. Out of all the musical genres I believe Rock and Rap music reaches the broadest audience. It’s always been my favorite style of music which is the reason I decided to write, perform and executive produce “Shake N Rock.”
Like most creative people music and art has long been a passion, vision and mission of mine. I have been involved in the music business for about 12 years. My first EP was titled “Space Coaster 2000.” A few of the songs were charted in Billboard Magazine’s Talentnet in 1999 and 2000. In 2001 with the help of Walter Mcdonough Esq. I created a music production company called Sound Creative Inc. The company was featured in The Washington Post for the song release of “I Love You” on Mark Kates’ Fenway Recordings “In Our Lifetime Vol 1.” Between 1999 -2003 I promoted for Sony, Roc-A-Fella, Rawkus, Rocawear, Phatfarm, and Damani Dada.
I currently work in Information Technology Project Management. I graduated with honors from the University of Phoenix with a BSBM and I am now pursuing my Masters in Project Management from Western Carolina University. I created the first standard in music for writing, producing and recording music using Project Management methodologies and disciplines. This standard was applied for the "Shake N Rock" project.
The co-producer of “Shake N Rock” is Chake Harley. Chaka is a digi-design Certified Pro Tools HD 8 Operator. Chaka and I decided to stay away from sampling existing recordings which is so popular in music today. “Shake N Rock” is 100% organic/original. “Shake N Rock” is my way of announcing my existence to the world in 2012.
I believe “Shake N Rock” is a vehicle to help unite culture. I view music as an art form to bring people together. That is my goal for “Shake N Rock.”
