It's not that surprising though when in just 4 short years this hard working professional band have performed over 500 live shows encompassing sold out shows in their home town on top of two tours to Australia's east coast performing in both Melbourne and Sydney in addition to completing a self funded international tour throughout South America. Building international fans and sales, Stone Circle is now receiving offers of support, festival performances and larger scale distribution in Latin America. With a 2013 release of their latest album (and possible back catalogue) currently being negotiated through Rock City & Scatter Records, Stone Circle will again venture back to South America in June & July with return appearances and shows slated for Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Brazil, Ecuador and Argentina to further cement their presence in some of the fastest developing rock markets in the world.
Not content with this exciting challenge, Stone Circle have confirmed they will be conducting an extensive tour through the West Coast and Mid West of the USA in May and June 2014. This will be immediately followed by dates throughout South America in June/July 2014.
The band's music is definitely catching ears and turning heads. After hearing their latest CD "Living for the Sunshine" a personal invitation was extended by Sir Bob Geldof and his management for Stone Circle to perform at Sydney’s Star City Casino's newest venue the "Rock Lilly Bar" for Bob’s Rock and Rebuild Charity Concert After Party. Following up this stellar performance, Stone Circle performed with indie pop up & comers Amy Meredith at the 2012 Australia Day Celebrations on Langley Park Perth before booking up a schedule of shows for February and March including appearances with Shannon Noll, The Baby Animals, Adam Brand and You Am I.
April 2012 saw Stone Circle launch into Latin America at the invitation of the Cuban Government. Stone Circle being the first Australian Rock Band to be invited to attend and perform at the Romerias de Mayo 2012 festival in Cuba set about self managing, funding and booking a complete South American tour which included performing 17 shows over the course of 3 weeks in Colombia, Cuba and Argentina. Interspersed with these performances came countless appearances, marketing opportunities, radio and TV interviews with a quick lesson or two in the Spanish language thrown in.
Since forming in July 2008, this power quartet from Perth, Western Australia has racked up serious supports including the after party for Def Leppard’s Australian tour in addition to appearing alongside the Galvatrons, End of Fashion, Birds of Tokyo, Gyroscope and Something With Numbers. Refusing to be pigeonholed, they display a diversity which enables them to support iconic Australian artists such as Ian Moss, Diesel, Daryl Braithwaite, Jon Stevens, The Angels, Black Sorrows in both electric and unplugged formats. Stone Circle's full length independent release ‘Living for the Sunshine’ was recorded in the first half of 2010 at Crank Recordings in Perth and mastered by Leon Zervos at Studios 301 in Sydney. Stone Circle is a rock band. Their songs are powerful , melodic, drawn from a vast array of influences and genres. It’s the attitude, mentality and approach of artists like Queen, Van Halen, Bon Jovi, Robbie Williams and U2 that drives and inspires them. Live, Stone Circle are tight, passionate and energetic. It’s these performances that have propelled Stone Circle into the popular consciousness, secured a 2nd place in the coveted competition to support Bon Jovi, and have the band labeled ‘a true homage to the spirit of rock’ by Mix 94.5FM’s the Big Couch.
