“White Sands Lady” was not even a concept to Siyeric’s frontman, Thomas Taylor, in the beginning of the year 2009. Mr. Taylor was approached one evening, after assisting in the recording of another band’s music, and asked if he’d like to record his own album. Thomas accepted the offer, and formed the band Siyeric with fellow bassist, Joel Taylor, and hired fellow drummer, Dennis Painter. “White Sands Lady” became an official project on June 20th of 2009.
The album “White Sands Lady” is considered a “recorded jam session” by Siyeric’s frontman, Thomas Taylor, as stated in a previous interview,
“I had some solid guitar ideas for each song, but we didn’t even begin to rehearse them until we got into the studio. I mean, we just decided that the same day that the songs were presented, we should record them. I’m a strong believer in that the magic should be recorded for each song and the listener should feel that magic with us as Siyeric. So when we were in the studio, i would present each idea and see how each person would react to them. “White Sands Lady” was really in the end, one big, raw, beautiful, jam session.”
