Genre: Folk, Country, Ballads, Folk Pop
Sherrie is passionate and spontaneous, yet grounded by life’s gritty experiences. Her gift is music, and as a singer/songwriter she draws her inspirations from the everyday joys and difficulties of marriage, motherhood, mortgages, and the richness of simple family life.
Her sound is eclectic: a little country and folk with a contemporary portrayal of the timeless themes of the female ballad. Her voice delivers passion from soft and sensual to hurtin’ and furious.
She is married to an artist (landscape painter), Neil Erickson, who encouraged Sherrie to write her own material. Erickson spent the last 15 years writing while staying at home to raise her two children, Jessie & Axel. Recently released her Debut CD "Songs from my sofa" with eleven original songs, produced by Henry Piovesan of pianojam.com. Sherrie performs locally in the B.C. Region.
Performances include: Lake City Casino, Predator Ridge Golf and Country Club, The Rise, Golf and Country Club, Vernon Downtown Association, and house concerts. Performed with Matt Epp of Winnipeg, Manitoba, at a Vernon house concert.
