Second Hand King found it's way through Doo Wop music. Joe Stanziola a.k.a. Second Hand King, began to write obsessively near the end of his High School career. Intimidated by his future, and unwillingness to conform into the picturesque dream of: college, good job, happy life, Joe began to create unique stories and telling tells of sadness, heartbreak, love, happiness, and tarantula's. Although not an avid listener of Hip-Hop, the song "My Burnin' Heart" by Tupac inspired him to write and become a Hip-Hop artist himself. Determined to write more about his realities and not "what's out there", Second Hand King began to pay more attention to his surroundings and was greatly affected by the song, "The Duke of Earl" by Gene Chandler. Although, no medium has been met, his ultimate goal is to drive home Doo Wop music back into popular culture. Second Hand King, today, is a thought-provoking, relate-more-than-you-think writer, whose goal is to emotionally affect the listener. Today his music is influenced by Pink Floyd, Binary Star, Radiohead, and everything in between. He writes about his friends, and the people that have affected him, influenced by life & people who let a little strange out of the cage, ever so often.
