Ruth's passion for music began at an early age. She grew up singing along to cassettes of Ella Fitzgerald and Nat King Cole with her mother. At 9 she made her singing debut performing for the Minister of Tourism & Sports at the Bayok Tower in Thailand during a highly publicized awards ceremony. Her captivating performance was covered by journalists from all over the world and Bulgarian media outlets reported the event throughout her native country.
By 13 Ruth was competing regularly in vocal competitions throughout Europe.
At 15 she signed with visionary manager and concert promoter Joe Fletcher. Together In New York, they recorded her first demo of original music with legendary producer Martin Briley (Elton John, *NSYNC, Daughtry).
In 2006 Ruth began collaborating with producers from a wider range of musical genres including drum and bass, broken beat, liquid, dub, and hip-hop. By 2007 she was performing regularly with Bulgarian underground Hip Hop artists and international artists like dub legend Mad Professor and DJ Cam. That same year she sang at the "Day Of Music" festival, organized by the French Institute in Bulgaria and atteneded by over 10,000 people.
In the summer of 2007 she was admitted to the Hollywood Pop Academy in Los Angeles, California. While in L.A. Ruth worked on tracks with Carlos Neal.
In 2008 Ruth returned to Bulgaria to graduate from high-school. During the summer, she shared the stage with Grammy-Award Winning Singer Bobby McFerrin during a performance in Sofia.

Ruth & Unlimited Released a promo album in the spring of 2009.
In 2009 Ruth was a finalist on the show Music Idol. Although she didn’t win, her performances were considered among the best. Two weeks after appearing on the show, she released her first single with MCs from the hip-hop label ILLmate called “The Song”. "The Song" was used in an advertising campaign for the Bulgarian mobile phone operator Mtel Vodafone and is considered one of the biggest Bulgarian hits of the last few years. It was #1 on the Bulgarian charts for 10 weeks (The Voice, Mad, Radio Fresh, Radio City, City TV). In addition, the advertising campaign won 2 gold medals at the FARA Awards in 2009, including best media campaign and best advertisement.
Her second hit single was a reggae/soul duet with Stefan Vuldobrev titled “Bryag s cvyat nai-zelen,” which became part of the soundtrack for the movie “The World is Big and Salvation is Just Around the Corner (currently expected to win an Oscar Nomination in the “Best Foreign Film” category this year). The song was at #1 for 8 weeks on the BG Radio. The song was also ranked #55 in the “Best Bulgarian Songs of all time” charts.
Also in 2009 Ruth was featured as a main act in two of the most attended festivals in Bulgaria: Park Live (with Tricky, Lamb, Little Dragon, Roots Manuva) and Spirit of Burgas (with Faith No More, De Phazz, Fun Lovin’ Criminals). She was also an opening act for a Redman & Methodman concert in Sofia and for the broken beat legend Stanton Warriors at another show.
Ruth & Illmate sang at the Loop Live Concert 2009 in front of 60,000 people in Sofia, sharing the stage with Kelly Rowland from Destiny’s Child.
Ruth's first solo single called "Blizo"(Closer) was released in October of 2009. It reached #2 on Bulgarian Radio Stations. The song was voted #237 Greatest Bulgarian Songs of all time.
Ruth currently lives in Utrecht and is working with musicians in Amsterdam.
Her debut album is expected in May 2010.
