ROMINA ARENA BIO:

The music for Romina has been the vibration of her life since she was just a child. She was a Mouseketeer for Disney’s Mickey Mouse club in Italy “Topolino”, and performed as a classical ballerina in the major Italian theatres at the tender age of seven. The amazing and talented Romina Arena has overcome adversity to become a true Star. At the age of sixteen she suffered a vicious attack at the hands of a jealous Entertainer in Italy having her throat cut and vocal cords severed, rendering her comatose for more than 18 months. Romina with true determination not only survived the attack, but also completely recovered to become an International Superstar with a five octave vocal range.

It is her powerful POPERA style (pop meets classical) that makes her unique and without compare. She is one of the first female pioneers of POPERA/Pop Classical Crossover (she wrote lyrics and sang “Adagio” with the original Tomaso Albinoni’s arrangement at the famous Sidney Opera House concert in 1994. Romina remains to this day as one of the most prominent female POPERA/Pop Classical Crossover singers in the world. Her talents as a singer, actress, composer, writer and producer have captured the attention of Hollywood. Romina’s musical talents and abilities have long been known to music industry leaders worldwide and most recently in the US market. Her voice has inspired many of our top industry producers to be involved in her latest projects.

It is her ability to sing, speak and write music fluently in ten different languages, English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Greek and Bulgarian that allowed her to open many doors to the international music market as well as here in the United States.

• Four number #1 singles in four different countries, Japan “Suburu”, Australia “As Beautiful as You”, Germany “As Beautiful as You” and Italy “Una Vita Senza Vita” from San Remo Festival 1994 Compilation.

• Sold over (4) Four Million Records Worldwide

• Receiving a lifetime achievement gold record “RAI International “from Italy for her contributions to the music industry in Europe.

• Winner of the International San Remo Festival (young division)(equivalent to the American Grammy Awards)

• Singing in concert for the Pope Paul John II at the Vatican.

• Performed with Italian great Pavarotti, Andrea Bocelli, Alessandro Safina, Lionel Richie & Brian Wilson.

• Conquered the Great Whi e Way by performing the leading role in the off Broadway musical “Evita”.

• Performed at The White House for President Clinton and the First Family.

• Performing on the Celine Dion stage at Caesars Palace Coliseum in Las Vegas Nevada.

• Performed her first US national PBS television special in 2007.

Romina continues to write music for film soundtracks, TV shows today and recently placed the rock song “Satellite” as the theme song for popular video game “Gotham Racing 2”developed by Microsoft. Romina is currently working on her personal autobiography about her life story, which is currently in development with a top Hollywood producer for a major multi-million dollar film with Oscar award winning people attached. Romina is also a promising new up and coming screen writer and producer for several other major movie and television projects in the US & Canada.

When time allows in Romina’s busy schedule, she loves to perform her concerts for the Italian/American community here in the USA and receives enthusiastic support from all of her fans worldwide. She has become one of the most successful music artists not only in her native country of Italy, but also throughout Europe, Australia and Japan.
