From: Australia
Australian electronic music by Sydney based electronica producer, Reparatio (Ata Kivilcim). Former program coordinator and co-presenter for Radio Skid Row's (2RSR 88.9FM) 'Move on Up' weekly dance music show and an old school DJ (aka DJ Astroboy) in the Sydney underground dance music scene of the late 80s to mid 90s.
"My philosophy is a simple one... produce emotive electronic music using imagination, ingenuity and integrity."
Specialising in Minimal, Trip Hop, Acid Lounge, Chillout, Downtempo, Ambient Dub... tending more to music which induces an emotive quality. In essence, experiments using sound (rhythm, tone) in an attempt to communicate feel, mood, sentiment, etc...
The Latin word Reparatio (pronounced re-pa-rah-tee-oh) in essence means 'to fix' and is the root word for reparation and repair. Felicium Temporum Reparatio (or fel.temp.reparatio in shortform) is loosely translated to mean 'a restoration of happier times'.
"I was at a point in my life where this just seemed fitting... and Temporum is the root word for tempo so there's another connection!"
Ata’s been involved in various remix projects over the years and has produced Audio/Visual content commercially for Air Paradise, Bali TV and Art Vision Bali.
