Gary’s Bio

Born in the city of Chicago as a small boy Gary had a passion for music. He was always around the musicians and the directors of the church choir. No one really understood what was happening but in his mind he was getting ready for the next matter in his life. At the age of 12 he was voted in as the new choir director of his grandmother’s church. Good News Community Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Katie Moon. He held that position for years. As the years progressed he became curious about the streets and wanted popularity, but the wrong kind. Wanting this got him off track and focused on the wrong thing. He ended up attending Orr Academy where he join a street gang known as the Vice Lords. Things began to chance for Gary. He found himself more mesmerized with the wrong things. In 1995 he found himself in a situation that landed him in the penal system. There he even found himself trying to understand the reason for his problem. He went back to what he knew. The Word of God!!!! After repenting Gary was now back on track. He was doing what was ordained by God for him to do in the first place. Minister to His people. In September 1999 he was released and running wild for Jesus. Singing and testifying everywhere he went. In October 2002 he met and married Inglish Wilson and what seemed to perfect turned out to be totally against God’s will for me. After only 4 months of marriage Gary found himself in the same position as before. On his way back to the system. This time deemed to be more extensive stay. While things really began to change meaning the penalty wasn’t a few years it was natural life in prison…. He was accused of an assault that would have kept him in Egypt forever. Forensics couldn’t help him, lawyers couldn’t help, his word wasn’t good enough, and all had given up on him. Gary the fell on his face in the mental institution of the cook county jail and began to talk to God. He promised God that if He gave him one more chance to get it right he wouldn’t turn away from Him again. It was after this confession that God restored Gary and he became the ideal Joseph in the county jail. He preached, sung and ministered to the inmates and staff all to the glory of God. He went in on Feb. 2003 and God gave him a not guilty verdict in August on 2006 thus Reason came about. To God be the Glory for all the marvelous things He has done. Through my trials tribulations, hurts and disappointments. Friends they have forsaken me, even turned their backs on me. Through my trials tribulations I’ve come to know a Savior who has always been there even when I just didn’t care. This was the case with Gary. God gave him a job, but he wanted to do it his way. So in doing it his way he chose the hard way. This way caused a lot of pain, suffering etc. But God who is rich in grace and mercy didn’t give up on him and that’s why he’s where he’s at today. God gave him Reason about 2 years ago. He was in what he thought was worst time of his life, but this was the molding period. After the deliverance came God reminded him of the true task He had given Gary a long time ago. And with great gratitude Gary was now ready to move forward with the ministry He had ordained for him to do. He went from church to the streets from the streets to the jail from the jail to true servant hood! And from all that came Reason... We started October 7, 2006 and we debuted November 25, 2006 and God has blessed ever since. They are a group with many flaws, but also with hearts to do what God will have us to do…. So when you see them coming just know that we come in the name of Jesus, and to give God all we have because He gave us all He had! Let God allow them to be the blessing He created them to be to you. For their Purpose Is Their Praise!!!!!!
