A sonic voyage into the heart of darkness.
Pioneers Of Transmission// was formed in 2008 and have since worked intensively on creating the edgy sound that has later become their trademark.
Lead vocalist Andreas Kynde is clearly the center of their sonic landscapes, guiding you on the sonic voyage towards the center of the darkness which summarizes the experience of the music. And you’ll feel it when you hear it live. It’s songs about disappointment, crisis and greed, disillusion, lost friendships and dreams that set the scene for this extraordinary concert experience.
The group debuted in the fall of 2008 with the EP “Pioneers Of Transmission”, kicking off the band’s touring activities. The release, as well as the following live performances, manifested the band as a boundary-breaking example of what meaningful noise-rock must deliver in order to leave a lasting impression.
Pioneers Of Transmission// released their second EP “Isolated By Strangers // Friends Gone Strange” on March 15th 2009, created in collaboration with Kasper Eistrup (Kashmir), Michael Falch and the American producer/sound technician Mario McNulty (David Bowie) and went on the road promoting it nationally as well as in Finland, supporting IDIOMATIC’s tour. The band concluded a successful promo-tour at a sold out Blue Pool (Forssa) having played Doris (Tampere) and Liberte (Helsinki) earlier that week.
With the edgy, hypnotic and tightly cut tunes on “Isolated By Strangers // Friends Gone Strange”, the band once and for all distinguishes themselves as being a Danish indie-act to keep an eye on.
Pioneers Of Transmission// are: Andreas Kynde (Lead vocals and guitar), Christian Jessen (Bass and vocals), Morten Falk (Drums and vocals) and Christian Knudsen (Guitar, synth and vocals)
