Phil's previous release "Stockholm Street" is comprised of songs that draw on the experiences he had as a child growing up in Brooklyn and Long Island in the 60’s and 70’s. Currently receiving excellent reviews, it's his most personal and reflective work to date.
"As is the case for many people, the things that are most important to me have changed over time. With my music, for instance, I realized that the real joy in writing songs and performing comes from being able to really have an impact on people’s lives. Sometimes it’s just for a moment, and sometimes longer.
So now with many years of life experience under my belt, I look back and see that I’ve managed to create a large and varied library of music. I’ve been writing songs for as long as I can remember. I started releasing my music in 1993 when it became easier for independent artists to release their own material.
My my second solo album. It's titled "Stockholm Street" and is comprised of songs that draw on the experiences I had as a child growing up in Brooklyn and Long Island in the 60’s and 70’s.” I started this project in 2005 after a visit to my childhood neighborhood. Over the next several years, I managed to find a cohesive thread to the songs for this project and finally, with the guiding hand of my brother Perry was able to finish it up.
Perry and I have been working together making music all our lives and he's at the producers helm on my new upcoming 2013 release. I’m excited about getting these new songs in front of my fans and hitting the road with him and the new band this summer and sharing these very personal songs and their stories with you more great Celia Brothers music
I am grateful for all the support of my friends, family and the fans I’ve made along the way. Peace - Phil April 2013
