“ Long ago, while in Marine Corps bootcamp in prep for Vietnam, some of us would sing acapella to pass the time and break the tension. 3 buddies and I were "ordered" by the Drill Instructor to learn and perform "Where Have All the Flowers Gone" for him and the recruits every other Friday or so. Barely 18, I later learned the essence of the song and who it was written by. Been saluting Pete for many years, and his work to end all war. Pete, gracias. ”
