Oceanroyal is a San Francisco-based alternative rock band formed in 2006 by lead singer Kurt Seefeld and guitarist Brian London. Shortly after in 2008, Chris Garber (drums) and David Chen (bass) joined the group and the quartet entered the studio to record their self-produced debut album — Sympathetic Vibration.
Oceanroyal returns in 2013 with their second full-length album titled, Lucky Drive. The eleven songs — tracked and released in two parts known as Side A and Side B — were co-produced, engineered, and mixed by Bay Area rock-guru Sean Beresford (Third Eye Blind, Vanessa Carlton). The majority of the album was recorded at a secluded studio known as the Carriage House tucked away in the San Francisco's Pacific Heights neighborhood. Standout tracks "Flower Bones," "Switch," "Alive" and "I'd Be Lying" introduce a more polished, mature sound for the band. Lead singer, Kurt Seefeld, describes working with Beresford on the project, "The collaboration [with Sean] without a doubt encouraged the entire band to step up our songwriting on this one and deliver our best performances to date."
