Oblivious Signal
Biography

From: Florida,United States

Chicago Tribune raves, “The Broward based band has blended her vocal prowess on emotional storytelling with heavy riffs, blast beats, and bold bass lines.” Rag Magazine claims the band “offers a melodic flavor to the mix and challenges the overall definition of the word metal, creating a new phrase perhaps, Melodic Metal.”

Originating from South Florida, Oblivious Signal has ravaged the metal scene in the past two years. Although the band has been around since 2003, the line-up was solidified in 2007 with the addition of studio and live vocalist, Cristina T. Feliciano and bass player, Kyle Austin. The remaining line-up consists of guitarist, Nick Orisino and drummer, Jason Talley.

Oblivious Signal has established a reputation as a band who defies the rules of song structure to create music that is both entrancing and appealing to the listener. Songs such as “City in Flames” and “Death Becomes My Friend” are narratives in which the bands unique sound is clearly distinguished through a story. For the more commercial prone, “The Quiet Voice of Failure” and “Inflicted’s Shame” offers memorable and powerful hooks.

After the release of the Oblivious Signal Demo, the band quickly rose to the top 20 spot on MySpace Metal Charts. National recognition was achieved and the band was reviewed by Meto-Mix as having an ever expanding fan base in Europe. The year 2008 brought opportunities to open for national acts in Florida. In 2009, the band included in their tour, Hot Topic Acoustic shows and plugged in sets, as well as radio sponsored shows in both Spanish and English! From college shows to benefits, Oblivious Signal has delivered a power packed performance that has left an impact on listners!

In late 2009 Oblivious Signal is set to release their full length CD; Including newly re-mixed versions of the demo songs all produced by Luis Salazar (Soler Mesh, Lil Wayne, January, And Then There Was You). As Rag Magazine claimed, “Oblivious Signal has a refreshing sound…” and that is what the new album is ready to give its fans. A refreshing sound that encompasses a melodic metal experience that will leave you wanting more!
