Nadiyah Skyy entered the entertainment industry modeling for Baby Phat, MAC & Apple Bottoms in her early teens. Her height and beauty made her stand. By 18 modeling and acting was a large part of her life and every job she landed was a chance for her professional and artistic personality to shine through. When Skyy hit 21 she had already been featured in 8 movies including Oscar winning “Ray”, “Waiting” & “Glory Road”, all movies that were shot in her home town of New Orleans.
Over the past few years Skyy’s other talents such as her business sense, organizational skills and love for music have come to the forefront. She is now the CEO of Palmyra Street Productions LLC one of the premier music/video production companies in New Orleans. With her partner and producer Lovell “U-P” Cooper, Skyy has been featured on songs such as “Shift it in Reverse” by Dappa, “Let The Girls” by Mel Mac, and “Dance the Night Away” by Laura Michelle. While working in the studio “I Want Money” by the Flying Lizards caught her ear and both Skyy and U-P were convinced this was a song that could be redone into an instant hit. U-P produced the song and Skyy laid the verses. Once the song was completed, they knew Skyy could be a force to be reckoned with in the music industry as an artist and that she was now ready.
As an artist Skyy describes her sound as “Lavish Pop” and insist that no other genre can best explain what she intends to do with her music. Skyy is now ready to take the world by storm and prove that sheʼs much more than a pretty face, but a multi-facetted modern day renaissance woman.
