NCM is a mega-juggernautical musical menage a trois based out of Williamsburg, NY composed of T Milt SImon(drums/harmonies), DAve Anderson(bass) and Pete Crotty (lead vocals/guitar) that evolved from a concoction of aggressive, melodic, eccentric, eclectic elements that were originally formulated by the musical alchemist Pete Crotty. NCM is currently tantalizing eardrums with their raw and innovative music nationwide through touring, television and radio.
NCM recently recorded a new 10 song album entitled "Vampire Proof" (3/16/12), produced by EARL SLICK (DAVID BOWIE's guitar player) at The CLubhouse in Rhinebeck, NY- who recorded Natalie Merchant, Bootsie, etc. This new innovative masterpiece will be released via cd, record, and digital and video sometime in Aug 2012. NCM currently performed at the CBGB fest in NYC. Earl Slick also is featured playing slide on the song "Apples" and some guitar and bass on other tracks.
NCM has also independently released two full-length CDs, "Escape from Myopia” (1/11/08) and “Dharma” (2/22/09), were recorded at NADA studios in Newburgh, NY with John Naclerio and Paul Carabello (The Ataris), where bands such as Matchbook Romance and My Chemical Romance also recorded.
NCM has toured the US on several occasions, and has played at South by Southwest, Burning Man, Red Gorilla Festival (Texas), MidPoint Festival, and CBGB's . NCM’s music has been featured on TV shows such as MTV's "Real World" and Parental Control.”
NCM is an acronym for “NON COMPOS MENTIS,” which means “INSANE” in Latin. The meaning behind this is that we’re all insane, but some of us hide it better than others. Each of NCM’s CDs represents a part of self-evolution. “Escape From Myopia” represents the individual’s awareness of its own insanity, and “Dharma” is the process of healing and evolving.
NCM’s lyrics strive to revolutionize in a subtle fashion, bringing awareness to mankind about evolving itself to a higher consciousness. NCM's music stands out because the music is so diverse and not locked to a particular style, which lends itself to endless creativity. NCM plays cafés, art galleries, and such with acoustic performances, and bars, clubs, and rock venues with electric, high energy shows that get the crowd moving.
NCM’s music is currently licensed with MTV’s "Road Rules,” “Parental Control, “My Super Sweet 16,” “Life of Ryan," “Teen Cribs,” and “Human Giant.” Oxygen’s "Bad Girls Club," E!TV’s "Living w/Lohan" and "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," and Lifetime’s "Models of the Runway.”
