Cameroonian-born Myra Maimoh is, pure and simply, addicted to singing. Her life has been wrapped up in music, and in singing above all else, since the age of three.

Her gift - besides a deeply felt love of song - is a unique, soulful voice and the generosity of spirit to want to share her gift with the outside world at every available opportunity. Now, for the first time, that gift has been wrapped up into a perfectly packaged unit with the release of debut album ‘answer’d Me’.

Now living in Germany, Myra has absorbed influences for her entire musical life. Whether these influences come in the form of the James Brown, Stevie Wonder and Ella Fitzgerald records her mother used to bring home from shopping expeditions in her native city of Bamenda, or from the modern pop and r’n’b sounds she has heard since, all play a part in the genius that is ‘answer’d Me’.

It is a record that will put joy in people’s hearts, whether on the dance floor, in the living room or blasting from a car stereo. Myra does not want to get in the game to become rich and famous. Instead she wants to touch her listener; to make him or her laugh, smile, think and, above all, believe.

Myra’s musical pedigree is impeccable. She has been winning prizes in Cameroon and beyond since she was a teenager. She has had her own original songs performed by some of the best bands in the country and has been part of a successful girl group in its own right.
