Detroit area musician, composer and vocalist, “Mister Bill” Harrison began studying piano at an early age with the family dog and started performing professionally as soon as he was old enough to develop habits that needed support. At the tender age of six, he penned his first composition, “You Bore Me Breathless” which was dedicated to his first-grade teacher and earned him a record six-week suspension from Benedict Arnold Elementary School. During the course of his long musical career, Mister Bill has become one of the most sought-after sidemen in the Motor City – mostly by local law enforcement agencies. He has shared the stage with some of the most legendary names in the music business, including Fender, Gibson, Shure, Marshall and Ampeg. Now, this consummate composer, crooner, and co-conspirator has formed his own group, the Motor City Misfits, to assault audiences with his unique brand of musical mayhem. “Everywhere I go”, explains Mister Bill, “I see groups of aging, overweight, burned-out losers playing the same tired old cover songs. I wanted to create something completely unique.” This vision was his inspiration for the Misfits - a group of aging, overweight, burned-out losers who play Mister Bill’s own obnoxious original compositions combined with a selection of obscure and incredibly forgettable cover tunes. Whether he’s performing solo or kicking out the jams with his band, Mister Bill has a singular style that’s guaranteed to frighten young children, aggravate the criminally insane and prevent small farm animals from breeding.
