Meggin Ceol is a singer/songwriter and pianist based in Brooklyn, NY. Originally from Syracuse, NY, she began studying classical piano at the age of 8. Her early musical accomplishments included extensive touring in the US and 7 European countries with the Continental Orchestra. Meggin began writing, playing and singing original music during her high school years, moving away from her classical roots. Her varied musical influences included Tori Amos, Page McConnell of Phish, Nina Simone, and Regina Spektor. After spending a couple of years performing and recording as half of the indie folk duo "Faux Star", Meggin currently is a solo artist. She has recently performed at NYC venues such as National Underground, The Delancey, and Puppet’s Jazz Bar. Her debut EP entitled "Meggin Ceol" was released in April of 2011 and is currently available on itunes and Amazon.com.
