Mark Dean's Caldera Music

Multi-instrumentalist Mark Dean played out live at an early age, then moved into working as a session player for the clients of the various recording studios he built and operated. These were primarily song writers and solo artist who had no band. Mark played on and/or produced over 200 albums and projects for a wide spectrum of artists and clients.

Demo studios became project studios, then commercial studios until Amethyst Edge Productions signed and released its own official work with progressive rock artist Tim Morse. This debut CD entitled Transformation, together with Tim afforded Mark a generous measure of license as a session performer, writer and producer. AEP then began to perform label functions as a privet entity working exclusively for AEP Artists, of which Mark himself is now one. No Man is an Island by Mark Dean’s Caldera, is the solo works of MD in the genre of art rock. This release was accompanied by an in-house, live multi-instrumentalist/multi media performance in a 40 min promotional video entitled MCD at AEP, which can be viewed at www.amethystedgeprod.com

Mark is currently in post production on the second album by Tim Morse, due to be released in 2011, and is also in pre-production for his own next work.
