MC Ron (real name Ronnie Christopher Ösi) was born in Malmö, Sweden in 1984. He started writing rhymes when he was about 14 years old. His first lyrics were about everyday life and growing up in the wrong parts of town. Ron explains that writing helps him keep a grip of reality and really understand what´s going down.
Ron claims that he got serious with rapping and his music when he was about 18. ...
In the year of 2003 he went on tour with a breakdance group called multiple styles. But the real breakthrough came in 2006 when he co-founded an international group called Wizeguyz global along with Mr Loco, a rapper from The Bay in California. The group includes members from Rumania, Finland, Hungary, Sweden, Slovakia, New York, New Jersey, California and Ohio.
In 2006 MC Ron went over to the states where he and MR Loco featured on a documentary produced by Black Marv. The duo also featured on a song called true to the game, which was produced by Assassin who´s known for working with the late great 2pac. The song made it into a record called nationwide networking which also features artists like Yukmouth and The Game.
Back home in Sweden Ron started working with Swedish rap pioneer Doggelito (from the group The Latin Kings); together with Vicky they released a track called Smala dagar. The song appeared on Doggelitos solo album El Superclassico.
MC Ron he opened up shows for acts like Xzibit, Onyx, Beatnuts, and Naughty by Nature and worked with rap veterans like MC Göz. In 2008 Ron appeared on playboy model Dundika´s hit single Csak Rázz fel. The song was an immediate commercial success and reached a third place on Vivas video list and second on the hiphop list rap.hu.
The song was produced by Karmatronic and right now Ron has just finished a new project with them called the game of the world. The song is for the European football championship in Ukraine and Poland and will be played in the opening of the tournament. MC Ron is ready for the opportunity and has the ambition to conquer the world. To put things in perspective Ron tells me that Karmatronic usually works with acts like Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland and John Legend. One of hiphop-europe´s hardest working artists might finally get the recognition he deserves.
