Decades:

Lillian Axe is a hard rock band from New Orleans who write and perform music from acoustic ballads to full out heavy metal anthems. Four studio recordings were released (Lillian Axe, Love + War, Poetic Justice, and Psychoschizophrenia) before they disbanded in 1995. In 1999, they reunited and released a B-side recording, Fields of Yesterday, and a live CD, Live 2002. The best known line-up is Ron Taylor (lead vocals), Steve Blaze (lead guitar, keyboards, backing vocals), Jon Ster (rhythm guitar, keyboards, backing vocals), Rob Stratton (bass guitar), and Danny King (drums). Their best known songs are "Dream Of A Lifetime", "Misery Loves Company" and "Nobody Knows" from their 1988 Robbin Crosby produced self-titled debut album, "Show A Little Love", "All's Fair In Love And War", "She Likes It On Top", "Ghost Of Winter" and "My Number" from their 1989 album Love + War, "True Believer", "No Matter What" (Badfinger cover), "Body Double" and "See You Someday" from their 1992 album, Poetic Justice which peaked on the Billboard Top Heatseekers at #28 and "Crucified", "Deepfreeze" and "Moonlight In Your Blood" from their 1993 album Psychoschizophrenia. They also are known for their Christmas cover of Ann and Nancy Wilson's "Here is Christmas" which was released as a single and appears as a bonus track on the Japan edition of Psychoschizophrenia.

After several lineup changes the band released Waters Rising featuring lead singer Derrick LeFevre, in 2007. LeFevre remains lead singer on the June 2009 release, Sad Day on Planet Earth. They are currently signed to Blistering Records.

On May 16, 2010, in Erwinville, LA, the band became the first hard rock act to be inducted into The Louisiana Music Hall of Fame.

On June 23, 2010, Ronny Munroe, formerly of Metal Church, replaced Derrick LeFevre as lead vocalist but departed four months later before recording any material with the band.
