Anna Shedlowsky (born April 5, 2000) is from Waterford, Michigan and has had an interest in music from a very young age. As soon as she was old enough to understand lyrics in songs, she began to creatively transform the songs to make them her own.

Anna is an honor roll student, a peer mediator, and an active athlete. She enjoys volleyball, basketball, football, and the occasional video game as well. Anna is a strong leader and an advocate for the elimination of bullying.

Anna started singing publicly in her school talent shows. She began to take her music career seriously when she progressed to performing simultaneously at open mic nights and in the local community theater. At open mic nights, Anna performs a range of music from Etta James to Bruno Mars. She has performed a variety of roles at The Starlight Theater from mild-mannered Cinderella, in “Cinderella the Musical” to the Sassy Sour Kangaroo, in “Seussical the Musical”.

The summer of 2012 Anna discovered and became very excited about playing the ukulele. She included her new instrument in her open mic routine with covers of songs such as Jason Mraz’s “I’m Yours” and Ingrid Michaelson’s “You and I”. She also stretched her skills by playing to the public in both Myrtle Beach, SC and Ann Arbor, MI, singing and playing her ukulele. Anna is writing her own songs for the ukulele and looks forward to this adventure.

Anna loves to try new things. In the summer of 2012, she connected with rap artist Kaotic the Castaway. They began a collaboration, combining singing and rap on two singles for the D-Tox label. Anna found she loves rapping as much as singing. Her rap name, Lil’ Pepper, was born at this time and together with Kaotic the Castaway, they perform as The Chosen Ones. Anna hopes that her music with The Chosen Ones will help spread relevant messages, while still appealing to a wide market of listeners.

Anna is inspired by Eminem, Salt N’ Peppa, and her partner Kaotic the Castaway. On the more traditional side, Jason Mraz, Colbie Caillet, and Christina Aguilera influence her vocally. Anna hopes to continue to be diverse in her musical career by singing, playing her ukulele, and rapping with The Chosen Ones.

“I have been fortunate enough to work with many artists in the industry. Anna Shedlowsky, a.k.a. Lil’ Pepper, has been one of the most dedicated and hard working artists yet. At such a young age, she has shown a great amount of professionalism in the studio and at rehearsal” – Kaotic the Castaway
