Kevin Davison, New Canadian Country Music Artist from Nova Scotia Canada has entered the country music scene, jumping in with both feet (in cowboy boots of course). Kevin began his journey three years ago when Producer JR Vautour called him one night and offered his services to get Kevin where he needed to be, Nashville. With about a year to prepare and some backing from friends, family and NEWCAP, Kevin was on his way to Nashville to start what is now a promising career for this small town Paramedic. "I have always known I would be entertaining people at a very young age, performing my first solo when I was four and charging a quarter to anyone who wanted to see me lip sing in my basement when I was seven". Kevin's long awaited album "Just the beginning" was released in November 2009 with success beginning quickly. Kevin released his first single "Bring it here to me" with numerous stations across the country adding the single to their playlist. In April of this year, song number two hit the airwaves with a plethora of stations adding the song to the roster. In August Kevin became a charting artist breaking the top 100 songs on Country radio via mediabase, sliding to 82 on the charts where he currently sits. "If you like real down home country rock, you will love the CD", Kevin says.
In June of this year Kevin had the honour of opening for country music legends "LITTLE TEXAS. In July Kevin also took to the stage opening for Jason Blaine, Chrystal Shewanda, Doc Walker, Gord Bamford and Paul Brandt at the first annual RIDGEFEST that took place in the Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia. He was also introduced by country music star Jason McCoy before coming on stage blowing the crowd of 8000 people away. "It was a dream come true to be with these amazing artists, and perform on the same stage as all of them". Kevin played many other festivals this summer that brought on a much larger following then he could ever imagine.
Other major accomplishments for Kevin was being asked to be the anthem singer at the 2010 Brier held in Halifax. Kevin gained National exposure with his smooth randition of O CANADA throughout the week, ending with the closing ceremonies, singing in front of roughly 10,000 people. Kevin has also sang the anthem before the Halifax Mooseheads crowds as well as Universtiy hockey games.
This year Kevin was able to fly to Edmonton to attend his first CCMAs. This was an experience he will never forget. "This will be a yearly event for me. Just being around the people that make up this industry was a real eye opener. I met so many wonderful people and the experience was second to none".
Kevin was also the Spincount ECMA artist of the week this summer and was indierows artist of the month though Sounds Canadian. Most areas of Canada have heard the name of this up and coming artist and will hear much more from this Nova Scotia native.
CD's and music can be purchased on line on CD baby or itunes as well as other on line stores.
Stay tuned for more from Kevin Davison in the very near future!!

Bring it here to me was my first single to hit the airwaves throughout Canada. I have released my last album in November 2009 called "Just the beginning. It was recorded in Nashville and was produced by well known Canadian Country Artist JR Vautour. Only you was Kevin's second release. This song really turned heads when it dropped to 82 on the country charts after three short months. Kevin plans on releasing another song to radio later in the fall and looks forward to the ECMAs in Charlottetown PEI in April.
