Jordan E. Spivack: I’m a composer/lyricist/performer/arranger/producer who lives in Nanuet, NY. Short history: born in Brooklyn, NY; piano lessons begin at 5 years old (after my parents discovered I had the gift of music composition; from ages 5 to 9 a featured solo singer on the radio station in Parkersburg, W.Va. as a member of The Sammons Merrymakers; At 10 piano and music theory lessons (for 3 years) at Cornell University; a member of the rock band The Creation while in HS in Cortland, NY; BM degree from Ithaca College ’73, and a MM degree in composition, theory and piano from Indiana U ’75. Since then I have written many pop songs, classical, new age and jazz tunes, 2 musicals for children, and the opera: “A Better Way”. Currently my music is being played on INDIE104 – iRADIO LA, KANAL JAZZ, Plattsburgh Pipeline, and The Que 98.2 FM online radio stations (and soon on Pongid Radio). My solo piano composition “Commercial Street”, from my CD “My Provincetown”, was the winner of “Best International Instrumental Song” in the 2008 Toronto Exclusive Magazine Awards (11-9-08). My original solo instrumental CDs include “Think Lovely Thoughts” (2007), “My Provincetown" (2006), “Shimmer” (2004), “World Trade Center Suite”, “Symmetry”, “Pictures Of Me”.
