Jonathan Sumpton (born December 6th 1961 in Kingston upon Hull, UK) has performed and recorded in various guises, singing and playing drums, guitar, harmonica and keyboards for the last 35 years. Apart from a collaboration with British playwright Alan Plater to put music to Plater's lyric for the "KC Anthem (London 0 City 4)" from Hull Truck Theatre's 2009 production of "Confessions of a City Supporter", he records and composes alone.

Performing almost continuously in continental Europe he periodically records material for his CD Baby store licensing some tracks for sale on iTunes, Amazon and other stores.

Loosely based in Norway and in no way connected to the other artistes also working under the name "Jon Asher" responsible for tracks called "Electricity" and "Voice Inside My Head" etc.
