Genre: Pop, Folk, Singer-Songwriter
Full of emotion, Jen Charlton’s voice can at once be angelic and dark, sweet and smoky. Having studied classical piano as a child and then jazz, folk and pop later on, her song-writing has inflections of lots of different things.
Hailing from a small town in Canada, Charlton has moved around a lot. After a stint in the US and Europe, she lived in the UK for many years where she collaborated with the likes of producer Sean Reed (also known for his work with Beth Orton and Graham Coxon of Blur) and recorded songs for EMI publishing.
Having settled in Tel Aviv recently, she has rapidly met inspiring musicians and a producer with whom she is making an album. Having raised money earlier in the year via Indiegogo (www.indiegogo.com), the album should be ready in the next few months…!
