Hüsker Dü was an American rock band formed in Saint Paul, Minnesota in 1979. The band's continual members were guitarist Bob Mould, bassist Greg Norton, and drummer Grant Hart. Hüsker Dü never achieved mainstream success, and sold modestly. Following a series of albums on independent label SST Records, including Zen Arcade (1984) and New Day Rising (1985), the band signed to Warner Bros. “ 1) Actually is was a board game, not an arcade game. 2) The Huskers are from St. Paul--Grant grew up on the East Side and Bob went to Macalester. 3) Yeah, they were the best band from the Twin Cities, and among the best period along with X, Violent Femmes, B-52s, Replacements, Meat Puppets, etc. ”
