Hope Sandoval & The Warm Inventions is an independent alternative/dream pop band comprising of Hope Sandoval from the dormant band Mazzy Star and Colm Ó Cíosóig of My Bloody Valentine. Their first album Bavarian Fruit Bread was released in 2001. Bass player Alan Browne from Irish band Dirt Blue Gene played bass and co-wrote on some songs on Bavarian Fruit Bread. “ We were looking forward to seeing Hope in Los Angeles. I have loved her words and depth of poetry. The words deeply cut to the sole. The music mostly paint a pituresque bleak and melancholy mood. I suggest that her work is truly intraspective of her life! I was quite disapointed!!! at the concert at the Mayan, iIt's as if she does not connect at all with the audience and why we (the audience) were there. Very few people can truly appreciate what an artist does go through to get accepted and acknowledge. It is so unfortunate that once the artist get's that acknowledgement they forget that acknowlegement is a group of people or friends who like what they do, and should not be perceived as a pain in the ass. Very few people in life ever get the true pleasure of having a group of people like what they do and consider it important.
