After only 2 gigs Haight Ashbury were spotted by the Waterboys front man Mike Scott, and accompanied them on their 2007 UK tour. They have since then played festivals and venues all over the Scotland and England including triumphing over thousands of bands and winning the T.break competition as well as playing T in the Park, Belladrum and Connect.

This Glasgow, Scotland trio (brother/sister, lifelong best friend) take their name from San Francisco’s hippie mecca of the 60’s/70’s. The band is built upon a foundation of close harmonies, provided by female vocalists Kirsty and Jennifer Ashbury reminiscent of CSNY with a darker edge, the band have an unique intuition borne out of knowing each other all their lives. Kirsty's brother, guitarist Scott Ashbury adds distorted bluesy riffs, transforming the sound into more recent noise pop, reminiscent of Mazzy Star and Jesus & the Mary Chain. The sound is completed by Jen’s unique stand up percussion set up complimented by Kirsty’s bass lines.
