Genetix Band is a musical experiment founded by Maxim Ivanov from Moscow, Russia.
The genre of the band is difficult to describe. It has a mixed sound of digital hardcore, breakcore, drum'n'bass, industrial, metal, etc.
2007-2009
The band was formed in November 2006 by Maxim Ivanov (electronics, back vocals) who invited other members to participate in the project: guitarist Kostantin Egorov and vocalist Vladislav Kukhtenkov. The band gained popularity in Russia through tours and single releases. In 2009 the first full-length album "Genetix" hit the stores featuring a song sang by Anton Onishchenko.
2009-present
Later, Genetix Band decided to become the trio of Maxim, Konstantin, and Anton.
A second full-length album called "Control Mechanisms" hit the stores and started the new era of the band in 2012. The album introduces the listener to sharp sophisticated rhythms and sound, provocative texts and artwork. The band ironically depicts the everyday industrial political environment that leads towards the destruction of all authority.
