Gene Louis grew up in St. Louis, Missouri in the home of professional and talented musicians. As a result, music was a part of everyday life for Gene. At an early age he knew music was going to be the driving force in his life. It was this driving force that led Gene at the age of 17 to trade his personal homemade leather jacket for a plane ticket out to Los Angeles. And now, for over a decade, Gene has continued to pursue his dreams by giving all that he has to achieve them. His determination has led him to receive recognition by RCA records; which resulted in the opportunity to tour the world and play his music. As is often the case, the rock and roll lifestyle could only last so long and it took its toll on young Gene Louis. Now sober and wiser, Gene is ready to show the world who he is today. He recently released his eighth full-length solo record on iTunes and is constantly playing shows along the West Coast. No one can put words to his own life and philosophy better than Gene himself: "I've been married, I've been divorced, been drunk, been sober, been rich, been poor- and I live by the sword, die by the sword. Either way, if I live to be 85, I can look back and say I spent my whole life doing what I love. Success or no success I think I'll be proud of that...and by that tie I should have 200 records on iTunes!"
