Fionnuala is from the most Northerly Point in Ireland, a beautiful place called Malin Head. Fionnuala is a singer/songwriter, traditional Irish fiddle player and a sean nos singer who also sings classical and jazz. Fionnuala won the prestigious Sean O Riada prize in University College Cork where she studied for a degree in Music. Her compositions are greatly influenced by her Donegal Roots and the creative escapes she takes to walk the length and breadth of Ireland. She is currently engaged in a walk from Malin Head to Mizen Head, (Ireland's most northerly and southerly points), and is writing and recording as she goes. One of her songs, Something Beautiful, (recorded by Folk Ballad singer, Chris Kavenagh) was premiered for the Irish President, Dr Michael D. Higgins in Aras an Uachtarain in March 2013.
