Deacons Hail formed in late 2009 when Jon was asked to open for a local band Sunspots for a Don Hills show when their original opener got cancelled. Armed with a few songs that had never seen the light of day, since Jon had always been busy performing with other acts in the city such as Ryness and The Ivys, Jon made his debut with some awesome musicians backing him in the band: Jae (electric guitar), Scott (Bass), and Jason (drums).

Drawing upon influences of alternative and pop rock like the Goo Goo Dolls, U2, Jimmy Eat World, Switchfoot, and The Script, Deacons Hail crafts melodic songs with memorable hooks that returns us to the places where we have lost, love, and hope

The rest is history... well in the making...a process if you will...well, we're struggling to be musicians in this crazy city who's a crazy lover and hater all at once called New York.
