Daddy Roots, aka Wayne Alex Brooks, hails from the tiny but gorgeous island of Anguilla, British West Indies. Roots and some friends started a band as young as 9 and sang calypso and reggae entertaining throughout the whole island.
Since then Roots has gone on to spread his loving spirit and cheerful smile around the world with his energetic live performances from Anguilla in the Caribbeans to Ghana in Africa; from Sheffield, UK to Slovenia, eastern Europe; from California, USA to Jamaica, Ocean City.
His music and vocals are placed in movies (Broken Flowers-Focus Feature; Fugitive -BBC Lifetime Movie) and games app( iPhones-Tap,Tap, Dance), with a latest track "Duppy Can't Frighten Me" placed in Adam Sandler's 2011 movie "Just Go with It".
