D-n-K is made up of: Firstly - Dan Insley. Dan is the piano playing and technical production half the D-n-K writing partnership. His musical development started at the tender age of 11 after moving back to London following his short lived emigration to Australia. By 14 he was writing music professionally. He went on to train as a classical and contemporary pianist and has the held the position of composer-in-residence at technology colleges as well as with a touring opera company. Since then, Dan has written for numerous radio, TV, and stage productions with clients including Sony Entertainment, Warner Brothers, Virgin, and Channel 4. He has worked and played with the likes of legendary British musician and composer Ron Geesin, Steve O’Donnell and Outkast drummer Jef Van Veen, with whom he has been great friends since his early teens. In his own words, Dan describes D-n-K as "a singer/songwriter partnership with a musical style crossing elements of pop, rock and folk music." Originally from London Dan now lives in Rochester, Kent. Secondly - Keith Waterfield Keith is D-n-K's lead singer and has over 30 years experience. The first instrument he learnt to play was actually the trumpet, but after listening to Wishbone Ash's Argus he had a change of heart. The album had a major influence on his development and when Keith heard the line "Nobody ever said come to the party and bring your trumpet," Keith put down his trumpet and reached for his guitar. Keith was a member of Ralph Reader's London Gang Shows has appeared with Gene Pitney, Dave Dee Dozy Beaky Mick and Titch as a young lad and has been on The Billy Cotton Band Shows in the 1960's. In later years he has fronted many bands from the age of 17 to date including Suvvark, and The Jimmy Cooper Band (JCB). He opened with The Blues Brothers, has performed with members of the Cutting Crew, and legendary drummer Brian Davidson. Keith writes all his own songs and brings a great deal of versatility and style to his performance. He wrote his first song for his future wife after she saw him perform in his first band. When asked by her "Do you write your own material?", Keith immediately responded in the affirmative, whereupon Margaret asked to hear some of the material. Keith quickly though of some less than plausible excuse and dashed off to write her a song. When asked about his music, Keith says that: "It is important that people enjoy listening to our music and that they can relate to it, I love it when our songs connect with the audience." Originally from London Keith now lives in Rochester, Kent.
All songs written and produced by D-n-K, and published by Northstar Music Ltd.
