Having first picked up a guitar at the age of thirteen, Corduroy Jackson’s love affair with music began as a teenager. Cutting his teeth playing churches and local events, Jackson has taken the better part of 8 years honing his craft and developing his sound before releasing any music officially.
“Shelta” marks the introduction of the singer/songwriter. Driven by acoustic guitars and passionate vocals, the four song EP is a collection of songs chronicling a year full of love, loss, and hope. The offer proves to be surprisingly upbeat beginning with the irresistible “Mooresville” and concluding with the hauntingly hopeful “Searching for Snow.” The outcome is a perfect blend of something folk and strong lyrics.
