Codie Prevost

Hold onto your seats, it’s about to “Get Loud”. This three-time S.C.M.A. ‘Fans Choice Entertainer of the Year’ will deliver a performance guaranteed to knock your socks off.

Codie Prevost grew up on a grain/cattle farm just outside of Archerwill, Saskatchewan. He learned the value of hard work at a young age from driving tractor to feeding cows. At family functions Codie’s mom and uncle would perform for the rest of the family with two acoustic guitars. Codie was inspired and not long after taught himself to play. By age 16 he was performing in various talent contests around the province.

Codie met his manager Alain Leblanc in 2001 at a local talent contest in Zenon Park, Saskatchewan. They began working together on a weekly basis and soon Codie was busy every weekend performing for crowds in small town bars and festivals in Saskatchewan. Over the next year and a half Codie performed pretty much every weekend and soon felt it was time to record his first album.

In 2004 Codie partnered with Community Futures Newsask in Tisdale, Saskatchewan. The partnership took him all the way to Nashville to record his first album “The Road Ahead” which was released in 2005.

Building on the momentum from his first two albums “The Road Ahead” (2005) and “Spin 6-PAK Vol. I” (2008), both which have been honored with accolades, Codie Prevost has just launched his highly anticipated third album, “Get Loud”. An exciting change for Prevost this time around was having the opportunity to work with one of Canada’s top producers, Tom McKillip in Vancouver, who captured his unique style and sound. The lead off single/video “Rolling Back To You” climbed to the top 30 on the BDS chart and the video got heavy rotation on CMT. The 2nd single “Standing Still has just been released to CMT/radio and is gaining a lot of momentum.

With Main stage performances in 2010 at Craven Country Fest, Manitoulin Country fest and Havelock Country Fest Codie is ready to hit the road this year. He has already been chosen to perform at the 2011 Canadian Music Week in Toronto this March. As well he will be touring over seas to France this summer to perform near Paris at the International Bike Festival along with Shane Yellowbird.

Prevost consistently captivates his audiences, treating them to his upbeat and feel-good singles like “Next Weekend”, “Not Just The Beer Talkin’, “Spin”, and “Good Livin’” to sincere ballads including “Call Me When You Get There”, and the infamous tear jerker “I’m Okay.”

Gracing the stage with boundless energy and passion, and conveyed with a genuine and non-assuming presence, Codie Prevost has been a much sought-after act ever since he kick started his music career in 2005.

So amp up and check out the “GET LOUD TOUR 2011”!!!!
