Nicholas Becker grew up in Fredericksburg, VA where he was exposed to many of the 1960's and 1970's folk, acoustic rock artists. Listening mainly to Bob Dylan and Cat Stevens from the age of ten, Nicholas Becker was slowly marinated with rich lyrics and haunting melodies that would influence his songwriting later on. Taking up the guitar at the age of eighteen and beginning his songwriting journey, he soon came to write his first album, "Becker" and release it on September 23, 2010. His debut album is a collection of passionate, yearning, searching, reflective, sardonic, fiery, intimate, earnest, autumnal, and bittersweet moments. His influences of Radiohead, Bob Dylan, Nick Drake, The Tallest Man on Earth, Beck, and "classic blues" at the time can be heard through the entire album. "What Hope We Got", "The Yearning", "Too Much Mind", and "She's A Cold Sunny Day" are great examples!
When the winds change and the trees shed there leaves throw on this record and listen to the melodies of Autumn.
