It was spring 2008 when Ava befriended composer Arthur May on MySpace after commenting about a song on his player. Having checked Ava’s space and listening to her voice, Arthur immediately replied, saying he would love to write for her as she had the timbre he’d long been searching for. Soon discovering Ava’s strong gift for writing lyrics, they started what has developed into a fruitful, prolific song writing collaboration.

While all this was happening, Ava was actually preparing an album and shortly a couple of their first compositions were selected to be included. However, Ava’s producer Lennard Vaatstra of ‘Aqua8 productions’ recognised, as new songs came in one after the other, the quality and extraordinary strength of this new partnership. He suggested they forget being included on the present album, and instead write an entire new CD of material together to come after. This idea hit home and thus the results have proved outstanding.

Aqua8 is proud to present three examples from the for-coming disc. There are, at the time of writing, twenty other songs written and recorded in demo form, and also many more on the way. These works are all in line to be included and the challenge is choosing which ones to leave out for the following project.

A clear understanding and friendship between Ava, Arthur and Lennard has developed and is second to none. A big and bright future is clearly marked on the cards. ‘We have formed a dream team’, says Lennard.
