From Perth, Western Australia, 'Animal' was formed in mid-2011, featuring seasoned members of the Perth local music scene. Animal drools and barks a 'balls to the wall' hard rock sound, built on a blues foundation with an alternative edge. Animal brings a wrecking ball of hard-hitting, engaging and infectious tunes without pretention, just a helluva load of energy and fun, with hooks-a-plenty to keep it’s audiences singing along and rocking out.

Animal made its entrance to the Perth local music scene with a bang, waking up its sleepy hometown by a spectacle live performance on the back of a 9-tonne truck through the Perth city streets in October 2011. The band delivers a ball-breaking live show, and has received much local praise. The band has also received international praise for its current repertoire of songs from prominent US musician and producer Eric Kretz, better known as the drummer for the ‘Stone Temple Pilots‘.

Animal peaked in 2012 with 3 songs in the top 100 Triple J Unearthed music charts, with its hit song “Blues Master” peaking at #20 on the Rock charts. The band also peaked at #13 on the ReverbNation local Rock charts in March 2013.
