Amanda Lamb is an 18 year old American pop singer-songwriter from Southern California. She was voted Best Youth Artist at the OC Music Awards 2011, and is currently a nominee for Best Pop Artist 2012.
“Lost In The Fog” is the latest single by Amanda Lamb, produced in Los Angeles by Wayne Miller. The single is the 4th track in a 6-part multi-media series, in which Lamb’s fans will experience a love story loosely based on her own personal experience. “Starcrossed Heartbeat” is a story about finding love at the wrong time. It begins with a mid-tempo ballad which tells the story of falling in love while travelling, but ultimately having to say goodbye. The rest of the series will take Lamb’s fans along a journey of relationship highs and lows, with her characteristic ease at balancing between playful pop and heartfelt introspection. Each song, released once per month over the next 6 months, will be accompanied by its own chapter of a short story, and a video.
The title of her debut album Highwire is from the lyrics of the track titled The Life of An Aerialist. Amanda states, "although it probably won't be the most popular song on the album, it is the most personal, because it is actually about my daily quest to balance my diabetes with living a normal active life." Amanda kept the lyrics obscure on purpose, in hopes that anyone who has a chronic challenge - pain, illness, poverty - can relate and be inspired by the song.
