Amanda Lamb is an 19 year old American pop singer-songwriter from Southern California. She was voted Best Youth Artist at the OC Music Awards 2011, and was a nominee for Best Pop Artist 2012.
"Silver Lining” is the latest single by Amanda Lamb, produced in Los Angeles by Wayne Miller. The song is inspired by Amanda's personal struggle with diabetes and her quest to find the good amongst the hardships - the silver lining in the clouds.
This is the second song which Amanda has written in relation to her battle with chronic disease. The title of her debut album Highwire is from the lyrics of the track titled The Life of An Aerialist. Amanda states, "although it probably won't be the most popular song on the album, it is the most personal, because it is actually about my daily quest to balance my diabetes with living a normal active life." Amanda kept the lyrics obscure on purpose, in hopes that anyone who has a chronic challenge - pain, illness, poverty - can relate and be inspired by the song.
