Joshua “A.O.N” Kriese was raised in a city not usually known for its ties with the hip hop culture. Born in Calgary, Alberta, he began writing poetry at the age of 13. Over a short time, poetry quickly transitioned into a love for hip hop. Being raised in a strong Christian home provided him with the Core Christian Values that he conveys in his music. Despite a rocky past, A.O.N moves to spread the Gospel to a fallen world, in hopes of seeing people come to Christ. “I really want to reach people who don’t go to church, or have any interest in it. I want to spread the saving Grace of the Gospel. And ultimately, see people come to Christ,” he admits.
A.O.N has just released his debut mixtape “Boiling Point,” which features 21 full-length tracks, and a variety of different features. Over the past few months, A.O.N has spent his time recording and performing live. He has shared the stage with artists such as Rahzel, B-Real of Cypress Hill and Propaganda & Odd Thomas of Humble Beast Records. His music has been featured on “DaSouth.com,” as well as a handful of other hip hop sites.
