A Hole Inside
Biography

From: Sweden

Genre: Metal, Hardcore, Hardrock

A Hole Inside has its physical roots in a town that is best described, for those few who has not been fortunate enough to have been born here, as ”somewhere, somehow a bit outside of Gothenburg”. Yes, we’re talking about the great town of Kinna. We’ll continue on with the root thing to best describe this band, excellent metaphor. Right?

The band started in 2008 as a reaction of wanting to do anything other than the most popular Swedish activity, getting totally shitfaced. Our beginning consisted of more will than knowledge, so naturally we did what we could of what we had. We have since then released two EPs, constantly been doing live shows and switching a member or two in the process of evolving in to what A Hole Inside really is about, expressing ourselves through honest lyrics backed up by a pounding dark and melancholic wall of instrumental energy. Somewhat lost in a brand new world we’ve been finding out who we are and what we stand for and the total present of 2011 we don’t only have tons of will, but tons of knowledge and inspiration as well.

Recording and planning our first full length album, with a release date of early summer 2012, is hard but rewarding work because it feels like we finally understand what we are and what we want to do and frankly, we’re proud of what we’ve become. This is what we love most in life and this is what we’ll always do. The funny thing about music is how you can blow it up to such big proportions but what matters in the end, is the actual music. All we can do is what we want to and believe in and this band’s music represents what we are as individuals and as a band.

Oh, we forgot to continue the rooting-metaphorical-master piece-thingy. Such a shame, there were big plans about roots and how they can move and grow and… Now I just think of the walking trees in the fellowship of the ring. Forget the roots, moving on.

2012 is more than the year of what some silly fish make up to be the end of the world, it’s the year A Hole Inside will be somewhere and everywhere.

/ Yours sincerely, A Hole Inside
