Sonny Bey has toured the world from Philadelphia, PA with stops in the UK, Japan, Nova Scotia, Brazil, Germany, Korea, Honduras, Spain, Italy, Greece, Australia, Turkey, Bahrain, Hong Kong, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, Hawaii, Alaska, Malaysia, Jamaica, and Guam.

Sonny Bey has performed professionally for over 40 years, starting with Garnet Mimms at the age of 16. Two years later Sonny Bey formed the "Interpretations" and had his first record "Snap-out" go gold selling over 750,000 units. He has also performed with such great talents as Barbara Mason, the Mad Lads, Brenda and the Tabulations. Sonny Bey was the band leader for Blue Magic, was the drummer for Frankie Smith, the "Double-Dutch" album, also toured with Rick James "Street Tour" and toured the world with the Stylistics.

Sonny Bey adept on drums moved to Phoenix, AZ and formed 151 Proof® which features the talents of Jason Bey on guitar, Curtis Cornelius on bass, Maya Liddell and Lauralin Sanders on vocals and Gary Straussbaugh on the ivory keys. 151 Proof® delights fans with a sound style mixed from "Old School" days with a touch of "Today" added for the "Flava"! The depth of talent is reflected in the broad range of music that they play from classic R&B to smooth jazz.
