From: Netherlands

Rock, Stoner, Spanish Rock

2006 - Birth.

El Pastuso and his cousin Jaap 'Monchito' Melman, two Dutch rockers with latin roots, finally have time to do what they have been planning for a long time. And this is to create raw, riff-oriented rock, combined with screaming trumpets and Spanish lyrics with cojones, humor and Latino spirit. iPENDEJO! is born.

2007 - Consolideyshon.

¡PENDEJO! records a demo to promote their first concerts in Venezuela. The reviews are stunningly positive and the crowds are amazing.

2008 - Cantando a la vida.

By the end of 2008 ¡PENDEJO! finishes their debut album "Cantos A La Vida". The band's adventure to release it in Spanish-speaking countries starts.

“No me digas que no, ¡llorón!”

2009 - Doing it.

The band plays several venues and festivals in The Netherlands and Germany. And several video clips of the album are shot. Although "Cantos A La Vida" is not released yet, bloggers in South America seem to find their way to ¡PENDEJO! songs. All speak with great praise of these Dutchmen, who combine Latino street talk with solid rock.

2010 - Growth and obstacles.

"Cantos A La Vida" is finally released in Spain where it is received with great enthusiasm by the local media. The band tours Spain twice; the first tour as support act for Fu Manchu and the second as headliner. But the band also faces some difficulties. Their Spanish distributor goes bankrupt, a witch seems to have cast a spell on some of the band members, the band's manager turns out to be a thief. The usual stuff on that long way if you wanna Rock and Roll.

2011 - Survival.

¡PENDEJO! just plays one show as support act for Karma to Burn. Several guitar players come and go. The band seems to have trouble finding the right guy for the next step: recording the second album.

2012 - Resurrection!
The band joins the MudTourFest in Holland and plays another show with Karma to Burn. But then finally, ¡PENDEJO! tours on Latin American soil again; playing in Venezuela, Argentina, Paraguay and Peru. The overwhelmingly positive feedback from the audience and the critics give the band that much needed boost to finish their second album. Recordings are done at The Void Studio in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. As for the pace of changing guitar players (which is quite comparable with Spinal Tap's short drummer's life spans): in the Summer of 2012 the band chooses to include two bass players, one actually playing bass, the other guitar.

Though a specific release date for their new album isn't set yet, the album is expected to be released in the first half of 2013. Details and touring dates will follow soon. So stay tuned.
