Nightnoise occupies a surprisingly narrow niche in contemporary chamber music. Tingstad & Rumbel would be the other member of this sub-genre worth noting. Maybe this kind of music went out of style with the Narada and Windham Hill labels of the 80's but it's still good to listen to.
