His organ keyboard beat was the driving force of the group! Unfortunately he got the big head (and wallet) because he got credit for the arrangement on HOTRS and it took off and he got rich from royalties. (Then he took off too!) Funny thing about the keyboards in HoRSun... Price's keyboard licks were actually based on an earlier Dave Van Ronk's interpretation, made popular by Bob Dylan in '62. Formed the Alan Price Set after that and his most memorable tune was probably "I Put a Spell on You"... He went back with the Animals a few times for reunion type gigs up to the early 80's and did lots of other British Music and Regular TV acting too. He worked arrangements with and for a large variety of artists, Randy Newman and Georgie Fame were two he helped get started. The guy even got nominated for a Golden Globe for a movie score!
