Reading all these posts it's mice to hear the reverence everyone has. It really makes me wonder too if any of you ever had the chance to see him live...I saw him many times, and got the chance to work with him in SF. What a good man he was and everyone here is right5 on the mark...Muddy was and is the coolest that ever was. He is looking down and appreciates the props from every last person.
I went to Stovall - met a Stovall grandson - Muddy, in 1941 sounded like Son House w. a bit of Robert Johnson - slide! - Chicago was so different from his earlier sound.btw - I hung with his son 'Big Bill' - friendly, warm and exciting show!
